HI Everyone,

I am pretty new to stained glass and I have a few projects under my belt but this one is perplexing me. My husband and I have had this old door from a Detroit building which is probably from the 40's. (We have been told the pattern on the glass panel is called "Detroit Tulip".) Anyways the soldering at some of the joints is cracked and the panel is loose. I have tried to resolder the joints but no matter how well I clean and flux them the new solder will not stick. Am I using the wrong solder? (60/40 tin /lead combo) Am I cleaning it wrong? (soap & water and a soft metal brush.) Can someone help?
