I would love to see it! Please, post it. Try scratching it with a knife to be sure it is zinc. Some of the zinc ones I repaired cracked at the solder edge. You can still repair it, probably. You still need to get to clean metal. You can scrape and scratch at the zinc until you get to shiny metal, then flux and solder. If you have a Dremel, you can use the brush attachment to get it down to clean metal. The more aggressive the flux, the better. Don't use the mild, nice smelling flux.
