I've had problems in the past with my foil coming up during soldering.
From the very talented group of glass people on this message board, I learned I was not burnishing well enough; my glass was not cleaned properly; I was spending too much time in one area during soldering (the foil gets to hot and detaches); and/or my hands were not clean of lotion.
