If your "Joy" detergent is the brand that's "Kind to Hands" it has an oil or lotion base. THAT'S a big problem. Most of us use the Dawn Detergent that's oil free. If you're using hand lotion while foling, it's another problem.
You could try an ALCOHOL bath or just a dip (followed by either air drying or wiping with a paper shop towel). I always did the alcohol cleansing after washing off the grinder dust and coolant. NEVER had a problem with foil sticking. Some people never have problems and don't like the extra steps in cleaning, In the long run if it solves a sticking problem you'll be WAY ahead on the time factor. We do what's necessary to get the best results..
