I have a glastar superstar. The midrange priced one. I've had it for four years and have left it outside all year long. Never had a problem with it. When I'm not using it I cover the grinder with a plastic container. Sometimes I have forgotten to cover it and it still works fine. I got rid of the sponge and use the brush thingy with it. I think it's called Aqua-flow. I do like that better than the sponge. There are newer grinders out there. I won't replace mine till it breaks. I grind alot less than I used to.
