I'm not certain how to go about sizing my pattern for a commissioned foil piece to accommodate for the zinc border.
The space for the completed panel is exactly:
36 1/16" (length) by 16 1/4" (height) with all right angles in the corners.
(I took 6 measurements in different areas to make sure the space was not framed incorrectly or warped.)
If I adjust for 1/2 zinc border, I need to subtract from length & width 3/8" total. Shouldn't I take off just a little more, say another 1/8" to accommodate for the fit? I've not done this before and would appreciate any and all advice.
Thanks,
Frankie
